Turquoise is a soft material, in order to carve it we need to stabilize it to gain good hardness so it does not break while we form it, stabilizing is great because it protects turquoise from changing in color, natural turquoise without stabilizing they change color after some time because it gets affected by hand oil and many other elements in nature.
